  When I was young (9ish) and read the book I through Stephen posing naked was incredibly seedy, like Cassandra I was consciously naive. Now I know that it’s just modern art!
  Also there’s a moment with mannequins in a shop window that is very reminiscent of the Apes of God by Wyndham Lewis.

  The Birds 1963

  Apparently sky have a monopoly on this film so I had to hunt the dvd down in the uni library, very old fashioned. Maybe I’m the kind of naive bird attack denier who would get eaten by a bird, but I find it hard to believe that there’s that many birds. I guess unlike in the book here the attacks are more centred on one town so they can gang up better. But on the other hand maybe I would survive, cause I wouldn’t be stupid enough to go anywhere without thick snow gloves and a leather jacket- they needed bird proof outfits!!
