Mandy (2018) a visually stunning and wildly unique film that combines intense, surreal imagery with a deeply emotional revenge story. Nicolas Cage delivers a mesmerizing performance, perfectly balancing unhinged chaos with raw vulnerability, while the film’s dreamlike cinematography and haunting synth-heavy score by Jóhann Jóhannsson create an immersive, hypnotic atmosphere. Its blend of over-the-top violence, dark humor, and operatic storytelling makes it an unforgettable experience for fans of arthouse horror and grindhouse thrills.

The marketing for this was some of the most effective I’ve seen for a movie since Jurassic World (2015).

Longlegs (2024) was an incredibly eerie experience that had me dreading what would come next. The incredible performances from Cage and Monroe along with the crafty camerawork from Mr. Perkins made this my favorite theater experience of the 2024 so far.

A lot of care was put into each shot of this film. One scene in particular didn’t scare me, it…
