Puppeteer - Actor - Writer
Let's talk movies!
It’s not perfect by any means and it’s full of characters that aren’t exactly likeable. But it’s got plenty of laughs, it doesn’t take itself too seriously and it is legitimately creepy at times.
Kinda gross in parts tho…
What was this movie trying to be? An action-comedy? A romantic comedy? A thriller-comedy? I can’t answer those questions because it feels like the filmmakers didn’t know either. One thing it certainly isn’t though, is funny.
Which is a shame because Ke Huy Quan is a charming actor who’s giving his all here. But him and Ariana DeBose have no chemistry with each other and the film is too focused on flashy fight scenes rather than a solid story.
Happy Valentine’s Day! *It’s March 5th!*
I knew from the trailer that this wouldn’t be good. But wow. It’s crazy how some of the films that Adam Sandler produces are worse than the ones he’s featured in.
It’s not only predictable and dull, but it’s full of characters who range from obliviously obnoxious to just dumb, blank slates. Being loud and crude doesn’t always equal funny!
