The Kitchen 2023
I can see that this is an important film for some, and appreciate the message and sentiment. But for me the execution fell flat in several places, in the character development and a slow pacing with not much pay off. Looked great and some great performances, which I think if paced slightly differently could have been super hard hitting. Good tunes too. I think Kaluuya still needs to search/experiment a little more to find his feet as a writer/director, but I am here for it.
