My jaw was agape at the end of this. Thoroughly rivetting while being lanquid in it's pacing The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford is probably the best Neo-Western I've ever seen and quite possibly the best Western I have ever seen.

Even in the first fifteen minutes we are sucked in by some great acting and setup, Deakins' cinematography hitting such heights in many of this films diversly lit and composed frames. The score builds and…

I don't entirely know what to make of this movie, but I know I like it. I was struck emotionally throughout.

Edit 1 (10 mins later): This is the first film in a long time that has genuinely terrified me in places and the best part is that it's not just the disturbing imagery and sound design. A kaleidoscopic deluge of light and noise, stirring the senses and screaming into the souls of those who understand. It may seem to…

Walks a very strange tightrope between the absurd and the creepy wrapped in an overdone and frankly uninteresting plot.

There's broad strokes here I like, I think there's an atmosphere created that's suitably unsettling but I don't feel like much is done in the film.

Episode 3 is probably the best piece here aside from the last 20 minutes which are heartbreaking. All actors involved are brilliant, but I'd say the standouts are the young boy, Steven Graham and Erin Doherty.

Cinematography is technically impressive, as is the endurance of the actors, and the patience of the director and crew to do something like this. Not every setup is great, it's very prefunctory, there's no beautifully composed shots here. It's formic aesthetic losses are a…

My favourite Lynch film to commemorate the day of his passing.
David you were one in a million.
Your art found me in a time of need and helped revive me and move forward to become the woman I am today.
    I am eternally grateful.

    RIP David Lynch

Yeah this was ok, I had a couple giggles, like the actors in it, but I feel while it's subject matter is interesting; the film falls into very typical romcom trappings. I'd like to see a film on this subject that treats it with a lot more realistic humanity and a real examination of being two people in love at very different stages of life.
