This movie was one of those that I watched once as a kid, then completely forgot about until now, when my roomate and I decided to rewatch it.

For the most part, it holds up! The themes of creativity vs. corporate greed are relevant now as ever before, and the humor has also stood the test of time really well. Alas, most of the characters are pretty bland, and many plot beats feel forced, but everything else about it makes it a fun beer-watching movie.

This movie disturbed my peace, and not in a good way. Nobody in this movie is particularly likeable, and the way they manipulate each other is worse.

I wouldn't necessarily mind that, of course, if there was a theme to tie it all together. There isn't, though. I assume it was supposed to be 'mind your own business', but it rings a bit hollow considering all the other stuff that happens that would leave anybody unable to look away.

For the first time in the last decade or so, I found myself absolutely bawling in the theater. This movie cuts so much deeper than I expected with its themes of belonging, parenthood and life in general. The animation style is gorgeous and adds so much to what's already a film full of wonder and life. The music had me feeling like I could levitate out of my seat. And the script... If I got into it, this review wouldn't fit on the app, but suffice it say, it was incredible.

Between this and Transformers One... I ate good this week.

As someone who's mildly familiar with the Transformers franchise, I can say that this movie completely blew me away. The comedic moments were hysterical, and the dramatic moments were gutwrenching. Literally everyone involved did their thing with all the love and passion they could muster, and it shows. It's thrilling, it's gorgeous, it's heartbreaking, it's a great film, and you should watch it NOW
