    Lawrence Tierney’s breakthrough role, and his bulldozer style of acting serves this B-movie gangster bio well. What Tierney began with Dillinger culminated decades later in Tough Guys Don’t Dance (“Deep six the head.”) and Reservoir Dogs. Dillinger was the perfect opportunity to lay ground for a career as the embodiment of the gruff, nobullshit tough guy.

    1) The Landlord was produced by Norman Jewison (Academy Award winning producer/director of In The Heat Of The Night).
