  Exhibiting Forgiveness 2024

  One of the better movies I have seen this year! The film accurately captures the complexities of forgiveness and doesn't leave the audience with a simple message of "Be nice and forgive people for everything." Yea, that would be nice, but the truth is much messier than that. 

  Not only did the film have great acting and family dynamics, the original artwork and music in the song captured and furthered the love and emotional turmoil of the characters. Those additional touches could stand on their own.

  The plot was a bit slow at times but each actor carried their weight so the performances alone made this a worthwhile film. As an English teacher, I appreciated its belief on the transformative power of story.

  A Catholic version of House of Cards. Who new that electing a new pope could yield such evil? The acting was Oscar-worthy and so was the cinematography and score. I know it's based kn the book but the ending felt forced and not needed.

  Beautifully shot, great use of scenes transitions, and creepy moments. Other than that I felt like the film didn't give enough back story for me to be invested in the characters.

Following
