  wow the more jarmusch movies i watch the more i love him. he’s so effective at narrowing down the scope of life to a sliver that’s both depressingly deprived but also really charming. eva’s fixation with that one screaming jay song — “he’s my main man!” — made me smile so much. like she’s got this romantic idea of american culture that’s sourced from this one song, but she has no access to it in her actual life.
