I’m writing this after midnight (or maybe 9:45). I am now at the tail end of my David lynch filmography binge and I can genuinely say this one is my favorite. It’s simply MORE. I felt nauseous in the middle and had to pause for a sec because it was it all hitting me at once. The choice of camera alone was brilliant. The look of a standard def Sony hand held camera would seem damn near impossible for anyone…

Half way through I was just about done with this movie. I paused it to tell my wife….”this might be one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. The only way I would change my mind is if David lynch himself tore through the screen and explained why the movie was so bad by saying ‘every thing you just watched so far was written and directed by a delusional lunatic’…..my wife and I stayed up this late to watch it twice. On to Twin Peaks now, wish us luck. 🙏

I went down the “yes but have you seen…..” rabbit hole after Mulholland Drive and ended up looking at the mirror for an extra 2 seconds to be sure a Japanese pop star wasn’t going to pop out and tell me things I don’t wanna hear.
