    Robot & Frank

    ★★★½

This movie is set in the near future. Aging Frank is a given a "robot" as a medical assistant to help him. Frank decides to use the robot for more than caring for him.

My husband, teenage children and I, all enjoyed this movie. It is rare find, a charming, funny and intelligent family movie.

    I recommend it.

    An Education

    ★★★½

This story is set in 1960s London. This movie gives you a feel of the culture, social norms and aspirations of people in London in this time period. Carey Mulligan plays Jenny, a teenager who meets and falls for a charming older man. The title "An Education" refers to more than Jenny's parents desire for her to go to Oxford. I don't want to give anything away about the story. For me this drama was worth watching for Carey's performance, the story, and the insights into 1960s London.
    I recommend it.
