Gladiator I gets five stars. This one 3. It is to reliant of the first movie rather than being its own thing. It’s not a new story but a derivative of its predecessor. You do not believe the love Paul Mescal’s character, which is quite contrary to Russell Crowe’s Maximus. This was a half assed story to give us more gladiator action scenes which is not why we loved the first one. It will make money in the box office.
