  If I am awake, let me never sleep.

  Miyagi becoming Daniel’s guardian and then immediately taking him to Okinawa whilst his mother is just completely out of the picture. Why does everyone speak broken english? Subtitles are good! I thought there’d be more karate.

  I think this is film works best if you’ve already experienced a lot of Joel and Trent’s other works.
  The relationship between Trent and Joel represented here is so beautiful complimented by some amazing visuals, as always in Joel’s movies. But having the added context from seeing their relationship kind of shine through in all of their previous collaborations, really gives this film a little something extra for me. A very warm movie. I really needed this one.
  Just a nice little movie about friendship.
