Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
I adore this film, and I think I saw it something like 4
Times at the cinema whilst it was releasing.The art direction is unmatched, as is the intricately woven narrative, brilliantly conceived and designer characters, everything from the musical flares accompanying key players in the narrative, to the multitude of hidden details and jokes in almost every scene screams of the passion and dedication of everyone who worked on it.

Oppenheimer 2023
On a first watch I thought Oppenheimer was masterfully made, all-be-it a little slow and at times, needlessly complicated narratively.
On a second watch, in my own time, in my own home, where I felt much more comfortable and could sit back and properly take it all in though, I fell in love with its narrative, and particularly the splicing of an otherwise linear and factual story into something riddled with intrigue, vendetta and dread.
The score, acting and direction is all top of its game, and I imagine on a third watch I’ll love it even more.
