I’m genuinely baffled that this movie is getting good reviews.
This needs to stop. The Substance is hands down one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. The concept had potential, sure, but the execution is a disaster. It starts off decently—I’ll admit the first 20 minutes had me thinking this could be one of the better films of the year.
But seriously, it’s just downhill from there. Plot hole after plot hole, it only gets worse as it goes…
