pretty rare to find a movie that asks real questions about spirituality and has flawed religious characters. i enjoy that the movie it isn’t focused on the existence of god but is focused on the church and its inner workings (for lack of a better term)cardinal lawrence’s struggle to a manage and his “crisis of faith” was compelling i enjoyed.

this really stuck with me as a kid. my mum would always tell me when i was younger that being unique was one of the most important thing you can do and i still carry that with me. this movie makes me cry every time i watch it even if it isn’t the best movie ever. yes it’s cliche, yes it has born sexy yesterday trope, yes it has business dad, BUT!
