It shows how directly and indirectly our parents interfere on our way of living and seeing the world.
Also made me question if at any point my parents felt like her dad. A bit of wanting to be better and, at the same time, wanting to be more than just a parent.
Anyways, 30s are hard for everyone. I still have some years until I get there.

I don’t know why I denied myself from this masterpiece for so long.
It’s fun, docile and innocent. It’s like watch multiple episodes of a sitcom in a whole.
You can see the indecision in Alana. She denies that she feels something for a much younger guy and, at the same time, she knows she is having fun. I feel that every she comes down to herself she thinks “I need to fix my life”, that’s why everytime something absurd happens with her, Gary and the krewe, she changes - boyfriend, job or interest.
I just couldn’t wait for the next “episode”.
