Michael Haneka puts a test on the husband's love for his wife and his humanity. But he also puts a test on my patience to get through these long, steady, silent shots without thinking about something else while watching it. Old age is scary, and we all can relate to it. The problem is that I didn't have to see this documentary-style movie to be aware of that.

The Prodigies 2011
Way more darker and sinister than I remembered -- absolutely not for kids. This is fun. The story goes fast. No meandering moment. It's like bam! bam! bam! the whole time. Some scenes are outstandingly creative too. It's cheap, shallow, but it's fun.

To Live and Die in L.A. 1985
Fast-paced crime thriller, nuanced plot and characters, 80's pop music packed and a showcase of some spectacular set pieces.

Monster 2023
This worked better for me than some of his previous works, mainly because this time the movie is driven by its compelling score. I didn't expect this to be a slightly psychological thriller, and so it did hold my attention through and through. The third act could've been trimmed down. Fantastic dolly shots. And about the monster -- I only saw one monster in the movie.
