  The Matrix Resurrections joins the tiring list of films that try to revive iconic franchises by making as many callbacks to the previous entries in order to trick you that you are watching something great. Sadly, you're not.

  Script with zero fat. 2 hours and 10 minutes felt like an hour. Amazing performances all around and the accompanying music topped it all off.

  Head insert vfx still needs work though but takes away nothing from the story and the experience.

  My biggest problem with popular franchise sequels, prequels and soft-reboots is their abundance of references to past films. This problem, unfortunately, is more than prevalent in Rogue One. As Star Wars is so big, the filmmakers most likely wanted to include as many references as they could, and as on-the-nose as possible, when references should really have taken a backseat so the new film could have had a chance to stand on its own.
