  Really good at building dread but it never really felt like it actually built to anything satisfying. Felt like there wasn’t enough of any one aspect I enjoyed but it had a lot of elements i liked.

  The first half I was distracted by how much I hate most the cast, the second half I was distracted by how much Ariane was stealing the show. Felt the side plots that went nowhere in the first part like the sister and the prince were a drag but mesmerizing otherwise.

  Shocked at how transfixed I was immediately. I adored the original so went in expecting not to like it but it really is it’s own thing and great throughout. In the end it feels like it’s restrained for time to not fully develop some storylines but it does great with what it has.

  A bit disappointing, but not bad. It felt too much like a small aside for a backstory and there just wasn't much there that supported a full movie. It felt like an hour of unneeded set up to get to the final third that was expected and great.
