    Before Sunrise

    ★★★½

Before Sunrise was okay the dialogue was good, but I’m not really a fan of movies where people just talk and not much happens It felt like I was just watching two people chat for hours, and I kept waiting for something more. Not really my thing.

In Lolita (1998)  Humbert justifies his obsession by tying it to a childhood love he lost, but in reality, he’s chasing a fantasy of his own making. Lolita isn’t the seductress he claims she is … she’s a vulnerable troubled teenager searching for security in a world that constantly takes advantage of her. Cinema Paradiso

    ★★★★★

Cinema Paradiso isn’t just about cinema it’s about the way life pulls us forward, even when our hearts long to stay behind. Salvatore’s return to his hometown reminds us how time changes everything  places fade, people grow distant, and love becomes a memory  Alfredo knew this truth, urging Salvatore to chase his dreams, even at the cost of losing his past.

Can we forget our first love? Not really. It lingers reshaped by time but never erased. The future is uncertain, sometimes terrifying but as Salvatore learns, holding onto the past can keep us from truly living.

    City of God

    ★★★★★

City of God is such a powerful movie. The way it tells the story is incredible it’s intense and fast paced, and it never lets you look away  The cinematography is amazing too, with the way they capture the chaos and beauty of the favelas. And the acting? It feels so real like you’re right there living it with them. It’s wild how they made everything feel so raw and emotional while telling a true story This movie stays with you long after it’s over.
