Very overwhelming and hard to get through at times, required a lot of breaks. The confusion of the film totally aided in this. This film was made to make you confused.
The animation and art was stunning. Something about the look of classic 80's and 90's anime has always really hooked me.
The music and score were fantastic. Masahiro Ikumi's score drove the feeling of dread and anxiety throughout the film as Mima's psyche slowly collapsed. It's a shame that this is his only film credit.
CHAM actually slaps!
