Pleasantly surprised by how expressive this film was shot alongside how dynamic the story telling was throughout the whole film. Idk what they were doing in the early 2000s with films but they gotta bring back this type of passion in films because even the film itself feels like it has character and who better to bring it all together than the absolute diva Momo who’s story was so fun to follow from start to finish

Really love how imaginative the shots and sequencing was in this film especially the scenes with the count. This only gets emphasised by the amazing light direction that made it feel like the count could really pop out at any point because of how a majority of the film feels like a deep lucid dream. The Substance 2024
Now this is how you do body horror and gore, the themes of self acceptance and individualism were portrayed so beautifully throughout the whole story. Also love how humorous moments never stole away from the intensity of the story but added another layer of realism to it, I really can’t recommend this film enough because there’s something to take from it in every aspect.
