It had a very intriguing set up, and was really building. Unfortunately, the main character was just too stupid to make it a satisfying watch. I still don’t know if it was purposeful or not.

The Deliverance 2024
This film takes an excellent approach to afro-surrealistic horror. The characters are very realistic and have amazing chemistry with one another. Watching the movie, I really saw the intricacies of each character, especially the mom.
The movie was very religious pushing, but I believe it tied in well with the character development.
In all, this film was trippy as fuck, especially in the beginning where things were still being established. Would recommend!

When I started this movie, it took me a while to become hooked on the movie’s story. Things began to get interesting when Jim and Selena met the father and daughter. There were moments in the beginning and towards the end of the movie that felt odd and random. This movie aligns more-so with zombie-apocalypse rather than horror/thriller. Overall, I appreciated the story being told. It was an okay movie.
