Great at depicting anxiety but also too long and the epic reveal at the end really wasn’t necessary. I was seeing metaphors regarding loving a narcissist, sexism (the main character seemed to be a part of the house), boundaries and others, but they never seemed to sit together perfectly. After reading the director’s interview I gather the intention was for it to be an allegory for our treatment of “Mother Earth” and in that case I think it flopped miserably. Therefore I shall take half a star away🧐. Way too messy.
