Having never seen the broadway musical, it was nice to finally get the context of what was happening during all those times I’ve listened to Defying Gravity from the soundtrack.
I’m curious to see what part 2 is gonna be about…
I was definitely the audience for this film lol
Great comedic actors/standups all portraying historical figures.
Hilarious historical fiction about a beloved product of American culture
Hugh Grant as Thurl Ravenscroft (voice of Tony The Tiger) was my favorite.
Bobby Moynihan as Chef Boy-ar-Dee is another favorite
this film is wild, but it has some great commentary on the characters in Hollywood, as well as the industry itself.
to me, it was interesting to see how everybody Latte meets project themselves onto him. He doesn't speak, but no one seems to really care, and some admire his muteness. Everyone has a motivation though, they all wanna be something, and they use Latte as a vehicle to help them get there.
seeing John Malkovich shouting about how he will not let anyone get in the way of his ability to expel jism was hysterical.
a strange film, but I can dig it.
