  Banger soundtrack. Wish the directors cut didn't remove it. It's honestly what made this movie memorable. Seriously that opening scene when Donnie is riding his bike home over killing moon is iconic.

  This movie is distinctly Japanese.
  Not to say the Japanese invented erotic gore, self harm or mutilation. It's that Japanese have pioneered modern ero-gore aesthetics.

  Having said that, this film has no gore. It's surprisingly normal (For this guy at least) A minimal amounts of viscera, needed to get the point across.

  I still flinched and covered my eyes like a bitch at some of the surgery scenes. I dunno I'm kinda weak like that.

  I feel like this film is trying to communicate sexual and romantic frustration, with the body- surgery stuff. I dunno I just think it's neato.
