French dispatch is that once in a lifetime movie that you here about but don't usually get a chance to see. It's unique. I can say with absolute certainty that I have never seen a film like this one. Why was this film made? The characters are lame and one note, the writing is terrible, and to make maters worse the acting is all over the place. Venom let There Be Carnage is a film with some good ideas but some terrible execution. Our main characters spend most of the film pointlessly arguing and it makes the middle of this film feel like a drag. Plus though the actors all do a great job they aren't given anything great to do.
