First thing... how come I didn't see that wedding scene that's shown on Letterboxd?
The first impression I got from this movie is that it looked very Christian, like that old movie about the life of Jesus. And yes, turns out the characters keep teasing that they are attracted to each other, for months, literally. But at the same time, there's a lot of nudity...

Gremlins 1984
They just disregarded logic in this movie. The only characters who make clever choices are Gizmo and Barney (aka Mushroom, the dog's real name). Everything is spelled out to make sure kids understand what's happening on the screen. Things felt forced and stereotypical. I'd recommend it as a good "baby's 1st horror movie". For me, it was mostly frustrating to watch. But at least, the end of the movie makes it self-aware...

This is such a good movie for cynical fools like me, who smile a lot and annoy everyone with bad jokes, while dealing with a lot of pain inside. As soon as I saw the title, months ago, I knew this was for a clown like me. Of course, the slaps here are metaphorical... people just find someone better, lie about it, or stay silent and leave.
