Brilliant! Personally, as a novice filmmaker, the most difficult scene to shoot are ensembles. Lino Brocka nailed the technique, while seamlessly capturing the ugly reality of the impoverished side of Manila with an impeccable script and a sensibility to the emergent themes. It stayed true to its message, and never failed to treat his subject with respect.

The issue pertaining to the urban poor and trafficking continued to this day, which unfortunately made Lino Brocka's portrayal as a cinematic piece that stood the test of time, conjuring an uncanny parallel to our country in its contemporary age.

I get it—all the choices made for this film. It was also so cinematically horny. No doubt, a well-done Luca Guadagnino film.

Nakakadismaya. Ang bastos isipan na we elected another Marcos as president. This is why I'm angry. Not because of the people who mocked my efforts during the campaign period. Not because I lost my presidential and senatorial bets. I'm angry because most Filipinos never tried to consider the victims. Whatever feeds their egos, that's the truth they most likely would choose to believe.
