Wouldn’t have been terrible but the styling choices were horrendous. It’s like a rich person (Blake Lively) tried to dress like what they think poor people wear (lots of carhartt?)
Also, the power of her “breaking the cycle of abuse” is a bit minimized by her having a backup perfect man waiting for her…

Honestly a bit shocked at the raving reviews of this movie. Madison has basically no character development aside from sexy damsel-in-distress who *oops!* accidentally tries to have her husband killed/ drugs a cop because she can see no other way out. Yet she seems to easily leave her husband when suggested by Gary, and somehow have a fully furnished apartment within a few days (with no job mentioned either).
