technically amazing movie with a meh soundtrack.
the set design did a great job of adapting the original movie's cupang to a kinda-theatre-stage that still works well on camera. all the actors sang well, as expected, and the direction did everything it could to make this an enjoyable film. the changes made from the original movie were justifiable, and i think the movie/musical would have been worse off without those changes.
