  A bit heavy handed on the  Chopin, i guess polansky made him retroactively both jewish and 20th century with The Pianist. Kierans sad glassy eyes makes it worth a watch.

  Peter and the Farm 2016

  Peter is a fascinating subject, a sort of existentialist poet hermit farmer, ostracized by his former wives, children, and modern society. His Grey Gardens-like existence at his farm with only his animals & alcohol to keep him company makes him oscillate between seeming deeply zen, connected to the animals and his land / nihilism & deep depression, self medicating himself off the ledge with his homemade cider. 
  Slightly uncomfortable how close it comes to seeming exploitative in portraying Peter's suicidal ideation, especially when the filmmakers become a part of his plan for them to document his suicide.

  Coin Heist 2017

  Teens do a heist because of their intense love for school. 

  Lots of good logic, 'hacking' and  cringe romance/ a rag tag bunch of sad rocket scientist-teens deliver aspiring lifetime-movie dialogue in a film that would fit better into daytime Disney Channel programming. Truly inspiring how outdated and stale Netflix managed to make this film (that could only have been pitched as 'Breakfast Club does Oceans 11, with all the fun sucked out')
