Crazy good voice acting. A lot of action (sometimes too fight focused), final episode is dope, Mark’s dilemma with the morality of killing and dealing with the guilt of his involvement in all these massive battles is super good.

Unfortunately I felt like the only “really” good fights come from Viltramite level villains or when Mark is able to show off his complete power and show just how OP he is.

Oliver being added to the story had its ups…

A beautiful story of a man haunted by his past and dealing with the weight of an opportunity to redeem himself through his nephew. Ending was quite unexpected and abrupt.

Beautiful establishing shots and overall very engaging and personable cinematography. The actor’s physical performances were very good but their performance of the dialogue at times took me out of the story.

Overall, still can definitely see the appeal of the movie and its storyline felt unique. Almost felt like they were trying to take up a similar aesthetic to Good Will Hunting, however, with a much more somber approach.

Although I now just realized that this was a remake of the original, I’m still quite astonished by the acting, the script, and the simplistic yet effective cinematography this movie had. A lot of long, one take shots which made you very focused on the dialogue. It made it feel very realistic, so much so that it felt more like footage than a put together film. Will have to watch the original to see how it compares. Overall still very much enjoyed.

I really enjoyed the story of the heists and the cop, however I felt like with so many characters it was difficult to develop any emotional connection with the characters. Additionally much of the dialogue felt unnatural, especially during the one on one conversations and the pacing was poor in much of the character building section. Overall, the beginning of the film felt very rushed in the character building.

I liked the cops relationship but didn’t find De Niro’s love…
