Although I didn’t love it as much as many other people do, it’s still a great movie.

My favorite part about the film is easily the animation. It looks absolutely beautiful, with vibrant use of colors and awe-inspiring lighting choices.

I also love how the story is told through its stunning visuals. There isn’t any dialogue in the movie, leaving the gorgeous score and the atmospheric sound-design to guide you through this wonderful experience.

Maybe I’m misinterpreting things here, but I saw this movie as essentially an elaborate troll on the audience and the “literally me” fanbase of the original film.

Yeah, I can see why this movie is divisive for many people.

Although I do like this movie, this is probably my 2nd least favorite of Bong Joon-ho’s films (behind his directorial debut Barking Dogs Never Bite).

So yeah, it is a bit disappointing when compared to his other works. However, let’s be fair here, it would be very difficult making a completely satisfying follow up to one of the greatest movies of the last decade.

    Anyways, the performances are…
