This film is truly transporting. I felt the physicality of the jungle and the people, my mind slowed to the pace of life in the forest. It left me with a sense of calm, wonder and thoughtful confusion.
Aside from the cinematography, the film educates about indigenous Colombian culture and exhibits the horrors of capitalist endeavour on the jungle and the horrors of early Christian proselytism on the native people.
