A new favorite. The name is truly apt, this is a memoir. The format is like a Bildungsroman in film form and I loved that. The characters are fully developed in a way that contrasts and compliments the whimsical and simplistic claymation visuals. Heart wrenching and heartwarming, real and magical, this movie really has it all. The plot is unique and fresh, a breath of fresh air after seeing so many remakes and cliches.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
This movie did an amazing job at balancing chaos and simplicity. The Daniels crammed in so many creative ideas, while also presenting a linear and understandable plot. Everyone in the theater was laughing and crying, and i almost threw up in the best way possible. Everything about this movie was unpredictable. Anddd with a budget of 25 mil (minuscule compared to other relevant multiverse films), i was shocked at the variety of settings, costumes, and visual effects. The first thing I did when I got home was hug my mom. I adored it and will never stop thinking ab it.

fr tho, i have extremely mixed feeling about this film that are accurately reflected in its mixed reviews. I think for me it started out really strong and was impressively off putting. The scenes in the farm house are incredible. By the ice cream scene i was actually really feeling the existential wright that was intended. Sadly, I was lost at the interpretative dance scene and things REALLY went downhill from there.…
