I cried the whole way through this, such visceral emotion, the voice of the forest, the Shinto shrine, young professor oak the whole thing is beautiful.

I’m so unbelievably disappointed, I love Ronald eggbert films but this just isn’t good. Sure the lighting is absolutely stunning, some beautiful shots but man the acting feels way off, I was close to walking until I remembered the only man who could save this film… Willem Dafoe and boy did he.

Romantic me: This film beautifully captures the overwhelming and crushing loneliness that’s painfully wedded to modern life; whilst acknowledging the chaotic random meetings that bring us a reason why, a cross to bare.

Masculine me: *points at every Japanese car* very much enjoyed seeing Toyota crowns being used as taxis.
