Wow. I’ve never felt so emotionally attached to a criminal like the character Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays. Might be because I absolutely loved him as Jamie Lannister but regardless this film is, what I imagine to be, the perfect rendition of gang violence and culture inside prisons. The constant flash back and forwards to his life before sentencing is done so well and makes the sympathy even more heightened.
I randomly came across it on Netflix and thank god I did as it’s now one of my favourite films. So gripping and palm sweating the whole way through.
Also absolutely love Jon Bernthal.
