I really wish I could like this. But I don't.

Better than I expected. The premise is good, plays on traditional tropes with 'creepy twins' and cultish activity but brings ideas of nature-nurture and ethical sciences into it. Which I enjoyed. Admittedly the pace made me antsy sometimes but my attention never wavered. The ending felt worth all of it; every narrative beat, in fact, felt deserved and well-placed once the movie was fully contextualised.

    Yeah. Nice.

    Here's the thing.

Stephen King likes to go on these mastubatory tangents in his novels about the role of the writer and other various... whingings. This book was that but all of it.

Means I should not like. But I love. Legitimately makes me tense. Hard to watch.

I've written at least three small essays whenever I could about how much I love this stupid movie. I love this stupid movie and its stupid lines and all of the stupid sweaters. It was so good and I adored it. God, I love a murder mystery twist and turn ghhhh
