    Neon Genesis Evangelion meets Pulse. Go in with high expectations. You will not be disappointed. I'm not into horror, I'm not into anime, but this was one of the best films I've watched this year. Even if you are not into these things either, you will enjoy this.     People trash this movie on Letterboxd and I get it completely. There are undeniable issues surrounding the filming process, the handling of appetite, sex, lesbian representation, and abandonment of the original comic’s crucial themes.
