This film is one I revisit relatively regularly, as I am a freak. Each watch kinda changes it for me a bit. I do love this film, but the last couple times I’ve seen it, the first 30 minutes (barring any screen-time with David) are just a slog. All the characters are at their worst, and—dare I say it— at least half of them are just plain irritating.
