  Much more beautiful than I expected given reviews, incredible cinematography throughout, god I love 35mm. It’s hard to work out some of the characters, and that’s the point. Very happy I watched it

  Btw, this is not normal people, no I haven’t read the original book, and I won’t because it sounds like this is a completely different thing, but even then I loved this. The ending threw me for a loop too, not sure how I feel about it emotionally, but I know it hit, and that’s all that a piece of media needs to do in my eyes

  Best film I’ve watched so far at the festival, incredible scope throughout this story, a beautiful mix of the power of love, strength and how a small amount of push can truly break someone. Such a realistic take on such a crushing story, and I love how the main character actually doesn’t end up winning, and the true story is layered within the match, and not the match itself.
