  Temu Ex Machina. I love a good horror comedy. This one sucks for a variety of reasons:

  1. Zero sympathetic characters. Why would I identify with a literal NPC?

  2. All events in the film are telegraphed and none of them are surprising or shocking. You have at least 20 seconds notice before something happens on screen. 

  3. I didn’t laugh. That’s always a bad sign. Maybe this is more for a teenage audience? I’m really not sure.

  Accidental Texan 2023

  I’m a fan of feel-good movies and I’m also a Texas oil man with a decade in the business.

  I have to give them credit for putting in enough effort to know what seismic surveys and landmen are but they still got it pretty much all wrong. 

  That being said, this movie is just not well done and the third act is wildly all over the place. It was completely absurd without being funny or silly enough to justify it. Nail in the coffin was the oil rig helicopter shootout.
