It’s exactly what you want it to be. Humor, creepy animatronics, and cheap jumpscares (just like the game). If you expect anything else… oh well.
As usual, Matthew Lillard is the best “bad guy” to ever grace cinema. That man always understands the assignment.

I’m sure the effort was there, but it wasn’t really anything special. The documentary went over the progress of the Ridgeway case, with a pretty wide overview and felt a little rushed throughout. The narrative they tried to spin in interviewing the son really fell flat - I expected it to have a little more about the impact of what having a serial killer parent is like for a child. It did not. In fact, it felt almost entirely unnecessary…
