12 Angry Men 1997
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Good version but fails to step out of the shadow of the original film version.
This version added some new aspects added such as a more diverse cast, but this changed very little in the content.
An interesting and very early change was the accused being shown. An important point of the original version is the racial background of the accused/victim being left ambiguous but implying it is a minority background. Friedkin's version immediately indicates the background of the accused and directly comments on this several times.
