You watch films like this for the action and The Shadow Strays definitely delivers. It's bloody, chaotic, silly at times but always visually engaging with impressive choreography. It's probably exactly everything you want in a film in this genre and its no wonder that Timo Tjahjanto is lined up to take on projects like "Nobody 2" and "The Beekeeper 2". I wish this film explored its world or characters a bit more because 2 and half hours is a long time and the story is way too simple for me to get too invested.
