A moving  portrayal of the effects of war on the civilian population that still resonates today.  And a reminder that animation is not just for showing princesses.

A powerful and effective thriller. It has a claustrophobic feel as almost all the action takes place within the confines of the small ABC studio with only archival footage of the events outside. Leonie Benesch was especially effective as the sole German staffer on site.

A fun watch but ultimately let down by the ending. The premise is great but I think it is undone by the found footage style. If they went with a more traditional viewpoint, they might have been avoided the problems with the third act. But if I’m flipping channels, I’ll tune in if I see it.

An enjoyable watch but ultimately pretty shallow. It touched on a lot of subjects but didn’t delve into any one of them. Family dynamics? We know Monk’s are odd but don’t know why. Family member with declining mental status?  The solution appears to be a very expensive nursing home. Mass media panders to the masses? Not really a surprise there. Some laughs. Some emotional moments. But nothing anyone will be talking about for very long.
