Close Your Eyes 2023
Will stick around my mind for a good while. A melancholic film full of joy, a funny sad film, a film about memory and forgetting, a film about aging and youth. Considering the monumental gap between his films, if this is Victor Erice's last picture...what a way to close the curtain. Ps. Having Ana Torrent who was the the star of the Spirit of the Beehive in this film closed the circle in Erice's career beautifully. Bravo.
