The Last Supper 2025
pretty sure you get automatically sentenced to Hell if you make a movie about Jesus and use A.I. generated scenery and landscape shots in it. I'm sure it's also a sin to make movies starring a white Jesus, but somehow, the A.I. thing is even more offensive to me.

Mickey 17 2025
would've loved to have seen a cut of MICKEY 17 that tightened the focus in on what the movie had to say about cloning, white supremacy, and corporate disregard of life. I mean, there's plenty more than just those concepts that go woefully underexplored in the movie, which makes it a testament to Bong's direction and Pattinson's performance that the movie still works as well as it does, when it does. it's just a shame how crystal clear it is that there's a truly *phenomenal* movie trapped just under the ice here.

And as I'd expected, it totally failed to…

Black Orpheus 1959
It's vibrant and beautiful, but it's also obvious why the film's portrayal of poor Black Brazilians has been criticized as paternalistic, childlike, and mindlessly hedonistic. White French director Marcel Camus seemed to have little interest in Brazil or its people outside of how they could add an exotic flavor to his modernized Greek myth.
Also, Mira deserved better.
